Personality: Amelia is adventurous and reckless, with a dry wit and a stubborn streak. She had a difficult childhood; because of this she was rarely open with her feelings and often mistrustful and wary, holding people she cared for at arm's length. As a child, Amelia was stoic and able to care for herself, a trait that continued on into her later years. On the outside, Amelia is confident, is couragoues and heroic, often standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves. She's open-minded and enjoys a bit of flirting every once in a while. However underneath all that, Amelia is troubled and lonely, mostly due to her feelings of abandonment as a child. She is loyal and protective and would do anything for her friends or others she cares about.

History: Amelia's start in the world was very much like anyone else's. She was born into an idyllic enough life; though the family were by no means wealthy, they were comfortable. Being the only child, there was no one to compete for her parents love, and Amelia grew up loving them to absolute bits. At the age of four, Amelia's parents were killed as a result of the Wizarding War and Amelia was sent to live with her aunt in a nearby county. There was no love lost between Amelia and her aunt. Although her aunt tried to give Amelia a good home, at the same time she was also resentful that her life had been turned upside down, not only by the death of her brother but also by the fact that she now had a child to look after, something she hadn't wanted.

During her childhood, Amelia was often left alone by her aunt who wanted to maintain her social life despite having a child to look after. The girl quickly became very independent and learnt how to look after herself. Several times during Summer she ran away back to her childhood home, but was always found and brought back home. She resented her life with her aunt and constantly dreamed of adventures where she could escape her regular life. She became interested in Astronomy, and would often bring injured animals into the house and patch them up, hiding them in her room so her aunt wouldn't see. Growing up, Amelia got no pocket money so instead she kept random coins she found around the garden and around the house when tidying. Her aunt would buy her necessities only - supplies for school, clothes (only after she outgrew the ones she had), and food, but anything extra would be off-limits, unless Sharon was in a particularly loving mood which was once in a blue moon.

Upon receiving her Hogwarts letter, Amelia was absolutely ecstatic as it finally meant an escape from her life, if only until the Summer rolled around. Amelia threw herself into studies, certain that if she got good grades her aunt would finally be proud of her. She was shy in making new friends and would instead drag Rory along everywhere with her. The worst part of the year for her was going home and many summers she'd ask to spend it at Rory's instead. She hated Christmas because she vaguely remembered her last Christmas with her family, and often she and Rory would spend Christmas together, either in the Gryffindor common room, or the Hufflepuff one. During her third year, she got permission from her aunt to go down to Hogsmeade. While there she got herself a casual part-time job at Honeydukes to earn herself a little bit more income for tiny luxuries. Now in her sixth year of Hogwarts, Amelia is a prefect and enjoying every moment of school while it lasts.
