Personality: Kieran, even though he's sarcastic and blunt most of the time, actually has a hidden side to him that he usually doesn't let people see; he's actually very kind, sweet, and sensitive, although he doesn't let that show. He's scared of getting attached, and so naturally he acts cold and distant with everyone even though he doesn't always want to. He's quite talented in music and art, and he likes to write. He's the creative type, although he doesn't talk much. He has a good sense of humour but also a hot temper. If you make him angry then you're probably better off walking away because otherwise he'll get into a fight. He hates using violence but if someone starts a fight with him first, he won't hesitate that much to fight back. He tries to keep to himself most of the time, but he'll speak his mind whenever he feels necessary. Often, he keeps his opinions to himself because he doesn't want his personal feelings to get in the way of anything. He turns to music, art or writing, or all three, when he has problems, and he allows himself to get lost in that if he needs to get away from the troubles in reality. He actually has big dreams; he wants to go off, go get a job at being either a musician, an artist or an author, and he wants to get married and have a family. But his past has had a negative effect on him, and it makes him think that nobody would want to be with him.

He's curious and adventurous, with an edge of a challenging attitude to him. It takes quite a bit to peak his interest, and once you have his interest, his full attention will be on you. He can be a bit of a flirt at times, but usually that's just another front so that his sensitive side doesn't show. He's still learning the social norms and such, so he often feels more shy and awkward than he cares to let on. He tries to act as though he never gets scared of anything, even though he does. He also finds it really hard to trust people, and he pushes people away for fear of them getting hurt as well as him. Despite what he might say, he doesn't want to be alone; he wants to make friends with people and have fun. But the fear of getting too attached and then losing people is too much for him to handle and he can't help that. Once you get to know him, though, he's brave, fiercely loyal, and really caring. History: Kieran was never really loved by his parents. They were disappointed in the way he turned out and so they pushed him away. They favoured his sister and two brothers, but never him. He was the disappointment of the family, and the odd one out. He hated that, and he tried everything in his power to make his parents proud of him, but unfortunately, every attempt he made to do so failed. That made him feel frustrated and upset but there was nothing he could do about it. He thought long and hard about his options and eventually just decided to put up with it. But no matter how hard he tried to drain it out, he couldn't ignore the hurt he felt every time his parents decided to put him down or give a negative comment about him, or act as if he were invisible. His siblings weren't much better; they ignored him most of the time too. Kieran got used to be shrinking back into the shadows and having people ignore him.

When he got his Hogwarts letter, he was relieved to be escaping from his family and siblings. Thankfully, his brothers had graduated and Lucy was in her last year when he started at the school, so he would finally be able to escape completely from home and his family in his second year. He spent a lot of his time drawing and writing in his first year. In the summer before his second year, he got piano lessons and he also learned to play the guitar. Slowly, that became his solace; music, art and writing. However, in his second year, things took a turn for the worst again. The other Slytherins decided that he wasn't a 'true Slytherin' and that, since he didn't share some of their opinions on Muggleborns, he was a 'blood traitor'. They bullied him to no end from his second year to his fourth. After that, they gave up, because he didn't say anything to defend himself. He just let them throw words at him and then he went and sat somewhere quiet, listened to music on his Muggle iPod and drew something, or read a book.

In his fourth year, he met a girl named Tanya, and things changed. She was the first person to accept him as he was, and he was happy. Really happy. The two became very close friends and Kieran started to develop a crush on her. He couldn't help it. Unfortunately, the feelings weren't mutual, and he found this out the hard way when she told him so herself. It turned out that she liked one of the guys that had been bullying Kieran for so long, and the only reason she'd befriended him was because the bullies wanted to see if he had any weak points they could poke at. Naturally, Kieran was hurt and angry to hear this and after that, his trust issues came back. The fact that his family were so against him was hard enough, but the fact that he had no friends in the whole of Hogwarts was even more depressing. Kieran still likes to keep to himself, although it's not as if he enjoys that kind of thing.

Now in his fifth year, Kieran is working on a drawing project as well as writing a song. He's also studying for his O.W.Ls, and he's keeping himself busy. He still hasn't made any effort to make any friends around the school, even though he wants to. In general, he just stays to himself, and the few people he does talk to are yet to earn his trust. This year, Kieran hopes to either overcome his trust issues, or find someone that won't betray him as easily as everyone else seemed to.
